Star Wars Vs The Avengers

Nerd Alert! Nerd Alert!

I’m totally going to geek you guys out right now but its time we discuss a super important question that is on everyone’s minds. Which of the two biggest heavy weights of all time will win the biggest fight of their careers?

Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

Lets first agree that both movies are great in their own right. Even though they are wildly different films they both have a massive fan base, amazing fighting scenes and brilliant special effects. The question still remains which movie will come out on top and earn the most money. Being a fan of both franchises I predict Star Wars will surpass the Avengers on opening day but on a world-wide scale The Avengers will kick Star Wars ass. Lets start by dissecting all the aspects of both movies.

Star Wars The Avengers

The Star Wars Saga which began in May 25, 1977 has made a total of 4.4 billion dollars in the past 38 years with a total of 6 released movies so far. While The Avengers single movie which was release on May 2,2012 made a whopping  1.5 billion dollars making it the third highest grossing movie of all times. (Furious 7 is currently in the process of  surpassing it) Even though in total Star Wars has brought in more money, as individual movies they haven’t done that great. Star Wars Episode 3: Return of the Sith only made a mere 860 million in 2005.

Episode 7 will take place 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi bringing back many of the fan favorite actors including Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Mill as Luke Skywalker, Carrier Fisher as Leia, and even Peter Mayhem as the infamous Chewbacca. These are all great actors but lets face it non of these actors are going to get my panties in a bunch. Not only do The Avengers have a huge male fan base but due to its hunky cast of sexy men they have a huge women following as well. With Robert Downey Jr as Iron man, Chris Hemeworth as Thor, Chris Even as Captain America and my personal favorite Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk I could watch this movie without any sound and just watch these guys kick some ass and I would still enjoy it. Oh yeah and I guess the hot and talented Scarlett Johansson is another reason to watch the movie.

38 years in the making has made Star Wars one of the biggest franchises in the world from Disneyland rides to endless merchandise Star Wars fan base keeps getting bigger and bigger. But even with Star Wars growing fan base it can’t compare to the amount of fans and followers that The Avengers have. Unlike Star Wars their fan base didn’t just begin with the release of their 2012 movie but instead with the first release of The Avengers comic book in 1963. Since 1963 The Avengers comic books have transformed to The Mighty Avengers, The New Avengers, Dark Avengers and Avengers: The Initiative. With the comic book world increasing so rapidly its no wonder why The Avengers is one of the biggest movies of all times.

This is a must watch video if you haven’t seen all of the Star Wars Episodes and would like to catch up. Heck even if you have seen them you should still watch it its pretty bad ass.

Thankfully we will not have to wait long to see who comes out on top with The Avengers 2 movie being released on May 1,2015 and Star Wars Episode 7 being released December 18 2015 we will soon be able to find out who the clear champion is. One this is for sure both these movies are going to be making a crap load of money. Stay tune for my review on both of these films. Along with my count down on what I’m hoping is the best movie of all times Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice which isn’t set to be release until March 2016.
